These are a few compositions made for a production of George M. Johnson's play Mockus, which was being produced by Jupiter Theatre in early 2020 when Covid hit. The show was cancelled while in its final weeks of rehearsal. Dance and choreo had been created, folks were learning all kinds of clown tricks... that fun, paired with the content based on a wild true story, was shaping up to be a pretty magical and intellectually engaging piece of theatre.

Antanas Mockus is a Colombian philosopher who served as mayor of Bogota in the 90s, and early 2000s. He is known for his bold and experimental approach to politics, and using the arts and play to create social change.

All tracks composed and produced digitally in Logic X by Kyla Ferrier. Tracks have been left "as is" meaning these are the bounced files of drafts in process. In an ideal world, where the average musician has money, session players would be hired, and everything tracked with live instruments. Till then, a glimpse of where things were headed. :)

(Of those things in process, the levels of each instruments' track were going to be mixed specifically for the venue space. So at this point, the best way to hear all the layers/nuance is probably with headphones.)
